Apple has decided to expand the strategy of removing the physical SIM card in the iPhone 15 family to the European market as well. At the time of the unveiling of the iPhone 14, the Cupertinos announced that the phones of this family in the American market only support electronic SIM cards.
All four models of the iPhone 15 series in the French market will not have a physical SIM card. Apple does not release any special model of iPhone to the French market, and the mobile phone that is released in this country is for the whole of Europe; In this way, the iPhone 15 will probably not have a physical SIM card in other European countries.
Making a phone without a physical SIM card is a bit of a hassle for users, but it’s an advantage for Apple, as the company will have access to more space to add components to the iPhone. Removing the SIM card slot also makes the iPhone better resistant to water penetration.
This is not the first time that whistleblowers point to the removal of the physical SIM card from the iPhone 15. Apple will definitely equip all iPhones with an electronic SIM card in time, but it won’t happen anytime soon. In large markets like China, the iPhone still has two physical SIM cards.
