The United Nations warned on Twitter that a significant number of people in some countries of the world, including Afghanistan, are facing famine.

According to the United Nations, in addition to Afghanistan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Yemen, Nigeria, South Sudan, Burkina Faso and Haiti are facing unprecedented levels of famine.

Earlier, other UN agencies said that about 6 million people in Afghanistan are on the verge of famine.

After banning women from working in non-governmental organizations and institutions, the United Nations announced that the delivery of humanitarian aid to the needy in Afghanistan has faced serious problems, especially for women.
