The spokesman of the White House added: Our partners have announced that they intend to engage directly with the Assad regime to advance priorities such as achieving a solution to the Syrian crisis, expanding humanitarian access, creating safe conditions for the return of migrants, preventing ISIS and confronting Drug trafficking is “Captagon”.
Jean-Pierre claimed: Although we doubt Assad’s readiness to solve the Syrian crisis, we are aligned with our Arab partners in terms of the final goals.

According to IRNA reporter, Vedant Patel, the deputy spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs, claimed on Monday local time, one day after Syria’s return to the Arab League: We believe that Syria does not deserve to re-enter the Arab League at this time, and this is the point that We have discussed it clearly with all our partners.
This US State Department official added: We have common goals with our Arab partners in relation to Syria. Among these common areas is the achievement of a political solution to the Syrian crisis in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2254.
Patel claimed: We believe that humanitarian access should be expanded in Syria, the necessary security should be provided to prevent ISIS from regaining power, and conditions should be provided for the return of migrants to their country.
At the same time, the deputy spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that this issue (Syria’s return to the Arab League) is an “opportunity to reduce Iran’s influence in Syria”.
The American official continued that Washington will not normalize its relations with Syria.
The foreign ministers of the Arab countries agreed to return Syria to the Arab League in their extraordinary meeting on 17 Radibehesht (May 7). Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesman of the Secretary General of the Arab League, said that the Arab League decided to return Syria to its seat in the Arab League.
In its final statement, the Arab League Council confirmed and announced the resumption of the participation of Syrian government delegations in the meetings of this union after 12 years of the suspension of Damascus’s membership. Organizations and institutions related to it should be resumed and this decision is effective from May 7.
