From music to fashion to books “Jill Of All Trades” has taken entrepreneurship to new levels –

Kasey “KoolKase” Hicks, owner of Mind Over Matter Clothing, President of KK Management and Productions, LLC, and writer is definitely what one might call a “Jill of all Trades”. In 2009 she introduced the world to KK Management and Productions, LLC, an entertainment company designed to help upcoming artist, models, etc gain exposure for their craft on a higher platform. With KK Management and Productions, LLC Kasey and friends has brought awareness to hunger and poverty by conducting food drives and raffles to help feed families, cooking vlogs where she and guests will cook food and feed the homeless, back to school drives where school supplies were provided to the less fortunate in the city of Pittsburgh. She also used her platform to bring awareness to violence by being executive producer on multiple music compilations titled “Stand Up Pittsburgh and Stop The Violence”. Throughout her KKMNP journey, which still continues KoolKase has directly worked with local and international stars from managing, touring amongst, and promoting/marketing such as Flatline Nizzy (may he Rest In Peace), Miss Money, CoronaBiggs, Amir White, L.A.Chae, Snootie Wild (may he Rest In Peace) , Kirko Bangz, AR -AB, Red Cafe, Lil Durk, Dej Loaf, Lua Proc, BoonieTheKid, and more.

Often with the music industry and entertainment world comes fashion. Always having a passion for fashion and feeling like she was well dressed, KoolKase wanted to start her own clothing line. After a few attempts of partnering up with different people to release different clothing lines KoolKase set out on her own, and in 2020 Mind Over Matter Clothing was established. With the misson statement being the famous Dr. Seuss quote “Those That Mind Don’t Matter and Those That Matter Don’t Mind” . KoolKase states, “the idea came about during the crazy stage of Covid-19 when it seemed as if everyone was losing their minds. Everyone was so intuned to social media and portraying to be these people they really weren’t and perpetrating to have all these things they didn’t have. “I would just scroll and think people need to be themselves. I wanted to put something out letting folks know it’s ok to be themselves, its ok to wear what you want, feel how you feel, etc. I want to people to be them wholeheartedly and live their truth, be you unapologetically”. Mind Over Matter Clothing is a brand that features both men and women attire. It’s stylish line focusing on urban with an edgy classy look.

Rather you know her as “KoolKase” or Kasey, you know she’s taken entrepreneurship to a whole new level. She has done and continues to do great things throughout the community and within her own endeavors. Becoming a published author is something we can also add to her list of achievements this year, with the release of her interactive journal titled “iJournal: Inside Thoughts”.
