If you are an art enthusiast, then OneAgainAtPeaceToFly may be the latest artist you might want to check out. Indeed, on Instagram, @Oneagainatpeacetofly features perfectly shot and edited pictures of different models, placed in various atmospheres and scenery, to show people that it is now possible and valuable to put thoughts and ideas into action through a visual commitment and exploiting our contemporary social media opportunities, yet not in an individualistic perspective but, this time, for the greater good of society.
Although the @Oneagainatpeacetofly project “Photography for Philanthropy” has been operative for under 6 months, it has already become quite popular in the art community as one which gives a deeper meaning to a seemingly only visual and emotional experience. As a matter of fact, we all used to consider sharing our pictures on social platforms as an act in itself, which in the end, could not bring much more than commercial opportunities for businesses or revenue streams for influencers. However, One Again At Peace To Fly is now adding a new, more altruistic and generous vibe to what we already knew, as the artist is using her very expressive photography as a means to visually denounce an issue and then crowdfund for a charity involved in resolving this issue. Correspondingly, once or twice a month, a new series is posted on the account to highlight a new issue and, later, fund another non-profit organisation.
Taking into consideration the main message behind the organisation, a photoshoot is then conducted which fits the theme- sometimes just in concept, but, at times, also in the design patterns and colour choices. This idea has worked quite well since the launch, and there are already several cases ready for viewing on the official Instagram profile of @Oneagainatpeacetofly. For instance, consider an association which works to protect endangered species of birds. To promote crowdfunding for the organisation, One Again At Peace To Fly set up a photoshoot that was heavy-handed on using artificial feathers, both as an accessory and a medium for a straight-to-the-point message for birds. Yet, another representation of the process is a series of pictures which feature hearts and are meant to link back to a French Association by the name of “the Restaurants of the Heart,” which gives back to the community by feeding those in need. Likewise, mention must also be made of @Oneagainatpeacetofly’s stint working with Amazon Watch, a global charity which dedicates itself to protecting the natural flora and fauna of the Amazon rainforest: @Oneagainatpeacetofly brought this imagery into play by doing dazzling photoshoots with flowers.
Undeniably, there is a careful selection process about which organisation should be chosen depending upon the matter of the photographic comment, as the previously highlighted charities are all considered major change implementers in their fields.
Naturally, using the current power of social media has made it easier to propagate the @Oneagainatpeacetofly project to as large of an audience as possible. And after all, surprisingly, although launched in January 2022, from an account that remained anonymous besides revealing the fact that it hails from somewhere in southern France, the artist behind it all has lately chosen to introduce herself as the digital artist @acidlustyle.
