Sonja recently participated in an open call competition where she reached second place, an accomplishment not many would be able to achieve. Sonja has also been featured in top magazines globally, gracing the pages with her skills.
When Sonja launched her career in the modeling industry, it wasn’t easy. She explains that there were a lot of obstacles. Sonja also didn’t believe in herself as she felt she didn’t fit the modeling beauty standards portrayed by the industry. But Sonja chose not to let the self-doubt distract her from living her dreams.

So far, Sonja has worked with various brands promoting jewelry and skincare products. She was also part of magazine cover model competitions in the international category.
Empowered by these accomplishments, Sonja says that her goal is to use her talent to spread positivity and encourage others to continue doing what they love. Sonja uses her inspiring story to empower her fan base and to show everyone no dream is too big to fulfill, even if it’s modeling or art.

She is a photographer and talented visual artist, whose paintings have been displayed in public displays across Canada. Sonja says that her passion and drive for graphic design, web design, illustrations, and abstract painting is what led her to pursue a path in modeling and photography.
As the modeling industry is quite rigid, Sonja says that she aims to use her platform to break down some of the barriers while showing people that it’s possible to have more than one passion and excel in all. She is also sharing what she has learned throughout her journey to help up-and-coming models and artists.
