Following on from his release titled drunk, producer pxrv (parv) returns with a feature produced by Arjxn titled Heartbreak.
Heartbreak as a track sits on a classic UK drill drum pattern with sliding bass lines, topped with beautiful pianos in minor scale and far distant synths riding a wide reverb. This attempt at a unique, commercial flavor of Drill music has allowed the track to have enough room for melodic singing, led once again by artist A1.
Parwinder Marway from West London, known on stage as the artist Pxrv, shares his take on Drill music with his style of commercial R&B and Pop. In an attempt to make this style ok UK rap more widely received globally Pxrv is taking inspiration from his favorite artists around the world from pop music to hip-hop.
“I listen to alot of music, I suppose as a producer you need an ear for sound that breaches your preferred style of music. I like Drill, but I like Hip-Hop and R&B more, growing up in the 80s its been what I’ve most related to from my youth. But I understand the need to be on trend, so I try to fuse what the public enjoy, with what I enjoy, and as a result I try to compose something that might just be new enough yet familiar enough to be comfortable for the masses”
Pxrv has co-produced Heartbreak with his 16 year old nephew Arjxn, an emerging artist from Pxrv’s production team.
How has this unique sound been developed?
Arjxn is very familiar with on trend with drill music and put the drum pattern, base and synth together creating a foundation strong enough to give Pxrv the ideas that further developed heartbreak as a track. Following on from the synth Pxrv layered his favourite style of distant piano inversions in minor scale, and engineered the track wide enough to give it the sound it has now. A1 then laid a chorus with melodic notes, and Pxrv’s team of artists again have laid the bars of rap blending poetry from the struggles of growing up in the UK, to the rewards that come with success. Cartierricks and LoadB Muni again create a Masterclass of word play in their space on the track.
Heartbreak can be streamed on all major digital music platforms.
