Alt-pop duo The Astronomers dropped the new single “Turn Out Fine,” a slice of summer nights.
“Turn Out Fine” is a coming-of-age song to remind us that even if we play pretend in life we will turn out fine. I love the message of “It’s in the palm of my hands” because it made me feel like happiness is already here if we take advantage of what we already have. The collaboration is one perfect match and let’s all say “La da da!” and get ready for the festivals because this one will be one to chant along!
Fond du Lac natives Ben Baker and Michael Stensland have made it a point to challenge the genre they’ve carved a niche by infusing experimental, unconventional elements into each release, this latest foray being no different.
The duo speaks about the message of “Turn Out Fine” and says, “We are all at points in our life where we are making big changes. Graduating college, relationships, trying to find places to live/jobs, whatever it may be, it’s scary! Even though life seems to be going right in so many ways, it feels like it’s up in the air.”
Release day was a busy day for The Astronomers and sammy rash, who got to celebrate by opening for a Billboard Hot 100 artist, Byrce Vine. But it doesn’t stop there, they will also be opening for Weston Estates, Bay Ledges, Doublecamp, and Wingtip as well as performing at Summerfest and Mile of Music. This is really going to build anticipation for The Astronomers upcoming, as-yet-unnamed project with their newest single.
