A new, versatile, independent artist from Oxnard, California is making footprints in the music industry. TheJNasty has a passion for making music. As he says, “I’m just a kid with a dream.” His music career began when he met a fellow rapper, Yung Ty, who inspired him. He guided him and helped form TheJNasty’s foundation. Through his music, he strives to help others and spread ambition.
One of the things that make TheJNasty unique is that he is not bound to one genre. He has many different role models, including Eminem, Jay-Z, Linkin Park, Hollywood Undead, and Weezer. Currently he is focusing on creating a Pop Punk/Alternative album that is to be released at the end of summer. TheJNasty has already released a song titled Used on May 13, 2022.The song is a new age pop punk song with a nostalgic 2000s era which will be featured on his upcoming album.
When asked what his hardest obstacle was to overcome, he said, “One of the biggest obstacles I’ve had to overcome was my anxiety, and I still suffer from it, but before I started making music it was hard for me to be in front of others or even be in public. Since making music I’ve had to force myself to overcome parts of my anxiety and learn how to deal with the rest. It’s a process, but one I’ve been able to mostly overcome.” TheJNASTY is open about his mental health struggles but truly hopes to connect with his fans through his music.
Currently, TheJNASTY collaborates with DOMBOI and Jeez to find beats, but from writing to publishing, the music is created by him solely. When we asked him what he hopes for the future, he replied, “I’m focused on dropping a Pop Punk/Alternative album. I use Emo hip-hop influencers to portray the feelings and vibe of someone who’s been used by a significant other. Similar sounds include Blink 182, MGK, and Sueco.” He also has ambitions of starting an independent label that gives more credit to the artist.
When TheJNASTY isn’t making music, he likes to surf and snowboard. To find out more about what is to come from him, follow him on social media, including Instagram, Spotify and Solo.
