According to the local news agency in France, Colonna said in a press conference in Yerevan on Friday that the territorial integrity of Armenia must be respected.
Kolona, who before traveling to Yerevan, went to Baku and met with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elham Aliyev, and spoke about the importance of resuming the peace talks between the two countries in Yerevan.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also emphasized the resumption of free traffic at the Lachin crossing in a press conference attended by Kolona.
According to AFP, a large minority of Armenians live in France, and President Emmanuel Macron has tried to revive the influence of Paris in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
People from the Republic of Azerbaijan, who call themselves environmental activists, have blocked the Lachin crossing since four months ago. They have claimed that they are protesting illegal mining and other abuses of the environment by Armenians in the region.
The Associated Press reported on Friday that they announced in a statement that they would suspend their protest at the Lachin crossing after meeting with the officials of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
