Zine dine Zidane complaining about his children

The former head coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, talked about his football career and life with his family, and now that he is enjoying his rest, and he told them a sweet story about his sons’ childhood, when he had to play.

In an interview, the French football legend talked about everything from football to the time of his football career and being forced to play with his sons at home.

Zidane was away from football for two years, and according to him, this time has helped him a lot to find himself again. In his new interview with GQ magazine, he talks about the distant days. Ever since he used to come home tired from training, but his sons wouldn’t let him rest.

“When I was still playing, Enzo and Luca wanted to play football all the time,” Zizo said. I trained a lot and preferred to rest at home, but they wouldn’t let me do that. When we arrived in Madrid, we lived in an apartment with a very small garden.

I remember playing with them upstairs and having to bend my knees because of the low ceiling in the attic. I did a lot of things! Fortunately, Theo and Eliaz (his two younger sons) were not too hard on me.”

Zinedine Zidane won all the honors on the pitch as a player, became one of the best coaches in football history in just four seasons with Real Madrid, and then decided to take a break. After two years away from the game and spending time with his family and friends, Zinedine Zidane is ready for a new challenge.

Zizo is playful. He sits in a small seafood restaurant in Madrid with a reporter and a photographer and soon feels comfortable in front of the camera. According to him, two years away from the fields helped him a lot to become his former self. When they brought the plate of donuts, he spontaneously took a donut and put it in front of his eyes like glasses and smiled for the camera.

Zidane’s four sons, Enzo, Luca, Theo and Elias, are all top-level professional players and their father’s advice must have been invaluable. Although he never massaged his sons’ hair with olive oil, Zizou played a lot of football with them.

Since leaving Real Madrid in 2021 after his second spell there, Zidane has been spending more time with family and friends, relaxing and reconnecting with his former self, free from the constant pressure of being a manager.
